Surgery clinics

We offer a range of clinics and services at the surgery. There are some tasks you can do, such as health reviews, using our online forms.

Contraception

A full range of contraception options including IUCD (coil) and implant insertion are available at the surgery.

Maternity care

We run an antenatal clinic at the surgery every Monday from 9am to 4pm..

Health visitors

Our team of health visitors have many happy years of experience. They can also be contacted by phone on 0300 247 0090.

Children’s health

Child Immunisation clinics are held weekly at the surgery.

Child health surveillance – all children are seen at eight weeks by the doctor and at eight months by the health visitor for developmental assessment. You will receive a card when your child is 1, 2 and 3 years old inviting you to contact the health visitor if there are concerns about your child’s development. All children will be invited for a vision check at 4 years old.

Health screening

Within Surgery hours we are happy to undertake well person, diabetes and cardiac care, hypertension, vascular screening and minor surgery.

Physiotherapy

You can now self refer for Physiotherapy – there is no need to see a GP before making a self referral.

Minor surgery

Simple skin lesions, skin cancers, moles, cysts and blemishes, as well as most joint injections, are dealt with routinely in the practice without the need to attend hospital and endure long waiting lists. We have a very well equipped treatment room where these services are carried out quickly and efficiently.

Hearing aid clinic

If so Salisbury Hear to Help hearing aid support service can help you.

They are a national hearing loss charity who offer a free service that will give you the confidence to make the most of your hearing aids.

Non-NHS services

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

  • Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
  • Insurance claim forms
  • Private sick notes
  • Private prescription
  • To Whom It May Concern letter

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
