Health Care Assistant

St Melor Surgery is a small GP based in Amesbury and we currently have a vacancy for an experienced health care assistant to work 15 hours per week.   This is a position that could possibly be expanded in the future with an increase in hours.

The successful candidate must have good communication skills, be computer literate and would need to be flexible to provide additional cover for team member’s annual leave.

Essential Skills required: Phlebotomy, ECG, Blood Pressure Monitoring,

Desirable skills required: B12/Flu and Shingles injections, New Patient health Checks

Practice Nurse

St Melor Surgery is a small GP based in Amesbury and we currently have a vacancy for an experienced practice nurse working 8 hours per week over 2 days.

The successful candidate must have good communication skills, be computer literate and would need to be flexible to provide additional cover for team member’s annual leave.

Skills required: ECG’s, Dopplers, complex dressings, cervical smears, Blood Tests

Lead Practice Nurse

St Melor Surgery is a small GP based in Amesbury and we currently have a vacancy for a Lead Practice Nurse to work 25 hours worked over 4 days per week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the nursing team, infection control and general practice nurse treatment room duties.

The successful candidate must have good communication skills, be computer literate and would need to be flexible to provide additional cover for team member’s annual leave.

The successful candidate must have the following ESSENTIAL skills: Complex wound care, Childhood immunisation training, Travel vaccination training, Cytology & Phlebotomy.

The following is a desirable

E skill: Chronic Disease Management

A good rate of pay for the right candidate would be Band 7.
